WorshipFill SMS Program

This page describes the SMS messaging program operated by WorshipFill so users, carriers, and reviewers can verify the consent flow and message content.

Program Description

WorshipFill connects churches with fill-in worship musicians. We use SMS to deliver time-sensitive notifications related to fill requests, scheduling confirmations, reminders, payouts, and account security.

How users opt in

In the WorshipFill mobile app during onboarding, users enter their mobile number and check an unchecked SMS Consent box that explicitly authorizes SMS messages.
In the mobile app under Settings → SMS Consent, users can opt in or out at any time using two separate, unchecked toggles for Transactional and Marketing SMS.
SMS consent is collected separately from acceptance of the Terms of Service and is never pre-checked.

Transactional SMS

I agree to receive transactional text messages from WorshipFill about account alerts, booking invitations, scheduling reminders, confirmations, and support. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Marketing SMS (separate, optional)

By checking this box, you agree to receive recurring promotional and marketing text messages from WorshipFill. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Message types & sample content

Fill-request invitation — "WorshipFill: New fill request — Sunday 9am at Grace Community (drums, $150). Reply YES to accept or NO to decline. Reply STOP to opt out."
Confirmation reminder — "WorshipFill: Reminder — you're confirmed for Sunday 9am at Grace Community. View details in the app. Reply STOP to opt out."
Payout notification — "WorshipFill: Your payout of $150 was sent to your bank. It typically arrives in 1-2 business days. Reply STOP to opt out."
Phone verification — "WorshipFill: Verify your phone number with code 482193. Code expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out."

Message frequency

Frequency varies based on the user's activity. A musician may receive several SMS messages on a busy day (multiple fill-request invitations) or none on a quiet day. Marketing messages, where opted in, are limited to no more than 4 messages per month.

Charges

Message and data rates may apply, depending on the user's mobile plan. WorshipFill does not charge for SMS messages.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any WorshipFill SMS message. The phone number is immediately added to our suppression list, the user's transactional and marketing consent flags are revoked, and a confirmation SMS is returned. To re-subscribe, reply START or re-enable consent in the app under Settings → SMS Consent.
